What is it like? Bowles is a unique venue where young people can be inspired.  They will be challenged yet safe, and cared for whilst having the independence.

Conway Centres - Delamere

Fox Howl Education centre Ideally placed within Delamere Forest. Offers easy, safe access into the forest without the need to walk along busy roads. Offers homely residential experience, for which our school has the sole use of all facilities during our stay. Its accommodation is split over two levels, with easy access to all areas. Provides a separate classroom area, adventure playground, separate wildlife pond, dining room and social area.

Dormitories

Dormitories There are 2 large dormitories, one upstairs and one downstairs. These consist of fully made bunk beds. Both are situated next to staff bedrooms. -These will be split into boys and girls. -

The food is child friendly, plentiful and nutritious. Breakfast A selection of cereals, juice and yogurts. A cooked breakfast at 8-15am. Lunch A substantial hot meal or packed lunch option. Evening Meal An excellent cooked dinner is provided. Snacks Tea, coffee, milk, juice, hot chocolate, biscuits and toast are available throughout the day in the dining room. Vegetarians, Vegans and special diets/allergies are carefully catered for. -We will always eat with the children. -

Itinerary The 2 days are packed full of exciting activities including Den building. Orienteering. Exploring the forest. Searching for mini-beasts. Pond dipping. Collecting natural materials. Making our own forest Art in the style of Andy Goldsworthy. Return home for the end of the school day.

Mini beast hunt Compare and contrast the creatures found within the forest with those found within streams and ponds.

Orienteering Navigate your way around a set course, using a map to follow clues as part of a small team.

Travel arrangements Travel We will travel there and back by coach. Insurance We use LA insurance policy.

Costings The total cost of the trip is approximately £70 including: Accommodation All meals and snacks Coach travel to and from Fox Howl All activities To secure your child’s place we will ask for a deposit of £20 before the Christmas Holidays. The remainder can be paid by instalments.
