Why Butlin’s Learning Adventures? Butlin’s used to offer school trips in the 1960’s We’ve come a long way since then and our resorts have too After listening to lots of teachers, parents and children we think we can offer something different – a new kind of residential To help us to do this we’ve partnered with education specialists Adventure Central who have many years experience in creating and delivering educational programmes

Butlin’s makes learning fun We’ve carefully created a line up of activities that are equally big on learning and fun A range of indoor and outdoor modules that will focus on developing practical skills, building self-confidence and encouraging team work

A typical day at Butlin’s Breakfast between 7.30am and 9am First activities start around 9.30am (2 in the morning) 10 minute mid morning drink break Lunch time allocation between 12.00noon – 13.30hrs A full afternoon of activities (2 in the afternoon) 10 minute mid afternoon drink break Evening meal time allocation between 5-7pm Evening entertainment from 8pm Lights out by 10.15pm There are four, one-and-a-half hour sessions each day with different activities to keep everyone engaged and suitable for all needs.

In a place of colour and happiness Butlin’s Skegness is a place like no other When children aren’t having fun learning, they’ll have the whole resort of excitement to enjoy!

A home from home Our two and three-bedroom Silver Rooms are bright and airy, similar in style to a hotel room All rooms are located together in the same village and fitted with central heating, bed linen and en-suite facilities. Girls and boys sleep in separate areas Teachers accommodation is located close to the students Bedtime Routine – lights out by 10.15pm after a busy day

Eat together and eat well Our dedicated team of chefs have developed carefully balanced menus with healthy options Three hot meals will be provided, with a different menu every day We can cater for any dietary requirements (we’ll just need to know prior to arrival) All children will be seated together in our Coast Restaurant

Our team Our team are at the heart of every school trip and take their responsibilities very seriously We only recruit experience and qualified team members who hold the relevant National Governing Body qualifications All of our instructors are DBS checked and are qualified First Aiders, and carry a first aid kit with them on activities Our team will be there from breakfast to bedtime, running all activities and even making sure you make it to dinner on time

In a place so safe and sound Our resort has manned entrances, exits and fully qualified health and safety team on site at all times We have policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety and well being of all our students Our Safety Management Systems are regularly monitored and reviewed using experienced Senior Managers and experts from within the education and outdoor industry Fully comprehensive Insurance is included. We have both Public Liability insurance and travel insurance (for activities), which has been built specifically for outdoor based activities
