2 What are the educational benefits of going to Swattenden? Fosters self- confidence Makes children more independent Encourages teamwork

3 Why do we use the Swattenden Centre? Run by Kent County Council as part of their Youth Services. It is not too far from home! The activities are different from Class 6’s Wales trip. A relatively safe environment. We have used the centre for several years. Our previous visits have been very successful! Ask the current Year 6 children!

4 Who will be looking after your children? We are taking FOUR adult supervisors:- Mr Ainsworth – Group Leader Mrs Eley – Learning Support Assistant Mrs Adams – Learning Support Assistant and Parent Mr Chewter – Parent (and Police Officer!) Mr Taylor will also be visiting Qualified staff from the Swattenden Centre This gives us a ratio of approximately 1 adult for every 7 children

5 What is the accommodation like? The children will stay in dormitories situated in the “Mansion House” We will have three rooms with either bunk or single beds Staff bedrooms are located next to the children’s. All bedding is provided.
