Carpenter

what got me interested in this job is that I love working with my hands. As a carpenter you are always doing work, is this something you would do? Maybe but it is hard work, In order to get a better understanding of my career as a carpenter I will be reaching the six topic areas. 1) what they do, 2)work environment, 3) how to become one, 4) pay, 5) job outlook, 6) similar occupations.

>work indoors and outdoors  May work in cramped spaces  Some times really bad weather  Possible injuries  Hours depend on client

 Age of 18  high school diploma  must be a us citizen  pass a substance abuse screening  Physically able to work  3 to 4 years of apprenticeship

>Employment of Carpenters is growing 20% form 2010 to 2020 > Population growth should result in more house work and more carpenters.

> review design plans to minimize the number of cuts and waste of wallboard >Measure the location of electrical outlets, plumbing, windows, and vents > mostly work a full time job.  employment of drywall and ceiling tile installers and tapers is projected to grow 29 percent from 2010 to 2020, much faster than the average for all other occupations  I picked this because this job Is like a carpenter and if I cant be a carpenter why not do something else that has to do with houses. One thing that I look forward to having this job is working outdoors and seeing all the cool houses people live in. At the same time there is bad things to look forward to, like dealing with angry people that get to heated up, the heat from the sun all day and also working long hours. There are advantages and disadvantages for every job and their where some. Also the money id not that for what they do. That is why I would like to be a carpenter.
