Welcome EIP Parents!

What is EIP?

The Early Intervention Program is designed to serve students who are at risk of not reaching or maintaining academic grade level.

The purpose of the EIP program is to provide additional instructional resources to help students who are performing below grade level obtain the necessary academic skills to reach grade level performance in the shortest time possible.

Why is my child in the EIP program?

A student is in the EIP program because: 1. He/she did not meet standards on the spring 2009 CRCT. or 2. He/she is 3% of the student population who passed CRCT but scored in the “too close for comfort” range. or 3. He/she was recommended by his/her classroom teacher.

Who are the EIP teachers at Sawnee and what do they do?

Brooke Pittet 1 st and 2 nd grades Erin Parker 2 nd, 3 rd, and 5 th grades Phyllis Case 3 rd, 4 th, and 5 th grades

You influence your child's education more than any teacher or school. Your involvement can boost your child's achievement! By taking an active role you'll show your child: ● how important he or she is to you ● how important education is to you ● that you and the school are a team, working to help your child succeed.

How can I help my child at home?

Homework! Show me your homework.

Math and Reading Can be Fun! ● Strategy ● Problem solving ● Logic ● Spacial Awareness ● Visual Perception ● Money Concepts ● Reading ● Vocabulary ● Following Directions
