8 Preventing Dextromethorphan If genetic, can parents know ahead? No, not genetic If lifestyle, can people not do something? Don’t abuse the it and use it for its purpose If unknown, is there early diagnosis? No

9 Treatment How can someone get treatment? 12 step programs Where are centers? Many center in your communities Therapy? You want to enroll in a treatment program that provides aftercare services like check-ins Medication? The first thing you want to think about is cost. What is your budget? The price of a dextromethorphan treatment program will vary greatly, depending on the type of facility and services offered. Support Groups? Many of the treatment centers act as support groups Lifestyle Changes? Depression, antisocial, lower grades, secretive behavior, and behavior problems in school.

10 Complications of DXM DXM does not generally cause death, so users who take live their lives with certain difficulties. No known cure but there are treatment centers to help those addicted. Depression, negative moods Staying away from former friends who are sober Avoiding family members Changes in activities, abandoning former hobbies or clubs Hiding out in his (or her) room with the door locked Antagonism and secretive behavior Lower grades Behavior problems in school

11 Summary of Drug Although DXM is not as harmful as other drugs it still should not be abused by anyone.
