All About The Respiratory System with Shannon

To Ms. McCullough, Mr. Chen and Friends/Family

What is the function of the respiratory system? The respiratory system brings oxygen into the body. The nasal cavity brings air in the body. Then, the lungs removes the carbon dioxide.

What body parts does the respiratory system have? The respiratory system includes the nasal cavity, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, the lungs, and a diaphragm.

What does each part of the Respiratory System do? Each part of the respiratory system's body parts bring air into the body. The cycle is pretty simple. It starts off when you breathe air into your mouth or nose. Then, the air enters the primary bronchi which goes to the lungs. The lungs turn oxygen into carbon- dioxide.

How does the Respiratory System help other systems? The respiratory system help our body function correctly. For example, it give our cells and blood oxygen to take to the rest of our body. We need oxygen to survive. If you have no air, you will suffocate!

How can we keep this system healthy? Some people are born with lung problems like asthma. There is a big difference between the asthmatic bronchiole and the normal bronchiole. We can keep the respiratory system healthy by not smoking. If you smoke too much……..

One or Both of your lungs will…….
