7. Regulation of Breathing
Regulation is controlled by the brain
Breathing is involuntary; you can hold your breath, but the effect in temporary
Carbonic acid (carbon dioxide in water) levels dictate breathing
A drop in pH level increases breathing; a rise would slow breathing

8. What effects does smoking have on the respiratory system?
500,000 deaths a year are related to smoking.
Lung Cancer, Bronchitis, Emphysema, and other sicknesses are caused by it.
Smoking can lead to poor health within the respiratory system.
