2 What’s respiration? It’s the movement of air in and out of the body to obtain oxygen and expel carbon dioxide.

4 nose trachea bronchi lung pharynx larynx The respiratory process Air enters through the nose. The air goes through the pharynx, the larynx and the trachea. The air goes through the bronchi and into the lungs. In the lungs, the air goes into the alveoli. The air goes out of the lungs. alveoli

5 Inhale and exhale When we inhale, our lungs fill with air. When we exhale, the air leaves the lungs.
