WHAT ARE ADJECTIVES?  Adjectives are used to describe nouns. They usually come before nouns and add information about: shape, color, size, material, quality and quantity. big, beautiful, brown  This is a big, beautiful, brown house.  Adjectives are used to answer the following questions:  Which?mobile  Which?  Did you lose your mobile phone?  What kind? long, red  What kind?  I like your long, red sweater.  How many? five  How many?  There are five girls in our group.

COMMON ADJECTIVE SUFFIXES

WHAT ARE ADVERBS?  Adverbs are used to describe a verb, an adjective or another adverb. they answer the following questions. They usually come after the verb.  How?quickly. (manner)  How?  she ran quickly. (manner)  When?yesterday. (time)  When?  I left the house yesterday. (time)  Where?here. (place)  Where?  I lost my glasses here. (place)  How much / to what degree? very too(degree)  How much / to what degree?  I like you very much. It is too hot to walk (degree)
