English 1010 Dr. Sharon Grau Johanny Gonzalez

 This is a nice and interesting story, which we see as a young girl which she accidentally born in a family of workers and not in a lofty. And as her desire to be admired as a society lady must pass a very difficult experience, we will see a special item in the story which determines a bad turn in her life.

 This interesting story relates how a cute and lovely lady who was born into a family of few resources, and feels bad for not being in a family and high society. She marries a rich man but the resources she had expected, she was not satisfied, it was not like she had imagined, one night her husband was brought an envelope with an invitation to a party,

 and instead of being in joy she is sad because she didn’t have a dress, the husband gave the money to buy the dress she wanted. But now that the dress had been bought she complained about not having a jewel for a elegant dress, then he advised him to go with her friend, and there among all jewels she saw a beautiful pearl necklace, that would be perfect for your elegant dress, she looked splendid, beautiful as she dreamed, indeed at the party she was most admired by everyone in the party.

 I could only remember what admired and splendid she had worn the necklace and suddenly when she arrives and realizes that the beautiful necklace is gone, her husband traveled the path they had walked in search of taxis but there was no result, offered rewards to whoever found the pearl necklace, and if you find a necklace like the one she had lost it would cost 40 thousand francs they had to decrease of their savings and to complete that they had to take loans from people they new.

She could not wear the clothes she liked. She bought the necklace for 36 thousand francs and took it to her friend which was a little annoyed by the delay in the delivery, she and her friend did not talk for lots of years. After many years she sees her friend going to the market, the friend did not recognize her because the weather had been hard paying her all that debt contracted for the purchase of the necklace of pearls.

Her friend had asked her what happened, she replied that because of her she was like that. Why is my fault? If that necklace you borrowed that night to attend the party wasn't real. That night I lost it and had to look to find the resources equal to the necklace. Now I know that the necklace isn’t real.

 In this story we could see the situation and greed of a young girl who could enjoy the love of her husband and family, a beautiful pearl necklace that wasn’t real, made her life into sad story.

 I hope you meditate on this interesting story we can think, how important it would have been if this young lady had agreed to be herself, and be authentic and happy with what I had and I would fully enjoy it, it would have avoided all these difficult times for trying to be it really was not. I really liked how the author kept us into the story with this interesting and meaningful story, I hope you too have enjoyed.
