Guide the growth to create a vibrant and self- sufficient town with a unique identity. It is our department’s goal to encourage and promote responsible development to meet the opportunities of Indian Trail’s future. We want to create a place where people live, work and play in a safe environment. Planning Department Mission

Responsibilities Coordinates all planning and construction activities for the Town Current Issue zoning permits, reviews subdivision plats and site plans, completes annexation studies and makes recommendations to the Planning Board, Board of Adjustment and Town Council. Long Range Regional Planning Comprehensive or Special area plans Tasked with ensuring compliance with State and Federal environmental, planning and engineering regulations.
