MAP FOR PRIMARY GRADES Student Presentation Avon Community School Corporation

What is MAP for Primary Grades? It’s a test students take on the computer. This test helps you, your teacher, and your parents see what YOU have learned. You will take a math and reading test on the computer.

How will I pick my answers? The test questions are shown on the computer screen and you will select an answers using the mouse.

What if I need to hear the question again? To hear the question again, click on the speaker.

Remember… You cannot go back once you click the GO ON button. You cannot skip a question. Pick your best answer if you are unsure. You may have more than one answer to choose.

Is this a timed test? No. You can take all the time you need. Check your answer before clicking on the GO ON button.

Will I be able to finish it? If you are unable to finish it today, then you will return to complete it later.

The first screen you see will look like this. Make sure your name is shown on the screen. Wait for directions and then click on the “Start Test” button.

Here’s a sample question.

Here’s another question.

Here’s one more.

Who will be with me? There will be other students in the lab. There will also be your computer lab assistant and maybe your principal.

What do I do when I finish? Raise your hand when you are done. Do not touch the computer.

My Best Behavior Read a book quietly when you are finished. It is important to stay quiet while others finish.
