BROAD TOWN SCHOOL WHAT WE DO HERE AT BROAD TOWN

OUR VALUE !!!! Our value this term is: FRIENDSHIP ! Some children from School Council have been working with Miss Long to update the children’s version of the Anti-bullying Leaflet. Some children have also lead an assembly on anti-bullying We have playleaders that teach other children the games of the week We have a friendship stop We have a play structure called the ‘Thumper’ and a timber trail

OUR FAVOURITE SUBJECTS AT SCHOOL! Sport Art Homework Literacy Maths Reading By Oliva, Sherise, Issy, Leon, Ruby, Leeah and Hattie At our school we do lots of different subjects such as: Literacy, Maths, PSHE, Art, RE, Geography, History, Reading, Handwriting, Spelling, DT, Computing, Music and lots more

THINGS THAT HELP US IMPROVE 99 MATHS CLUB BADGES !PUNCTUATION BADGE ! To improve our maths skills and writing skills we have 99 maths club and punctuation club! To get a 99 Club badge you have to complete a range of maths sheets in a set time and get them all correct. The badges we have are 11, 22, 33, 44, 55, 66, 77, 88, 99 then bronze, silver and gold medals. We also have a platinum trophy. These were all designed by children at Broad Town School. Badges made by Mrs Macindoe and Mrs Coulton Weeks

HOW WE IMPROVE OUR WORK WRITING We can achieve handwriting certificates and a pen license. We have lined handwriting books to help us practise our handwriting joins and size. In class 3 we have DUMTUM Date, underline, miss a line, title underline and miss a line.. To improve our writing we have NT (next time) actions. If we get them right we get a Win Bin We have red spelling books to help us learn how to spell more words. MATHS Challenges in maths – Must Should Challenge and if you can do the challenge you can then try to unlock the locked Challenge. This use to be Mild, Spicy and Hot activities. If you do some work wrong, Mr Dawkins will put an easier question underneath for you to try. If you get them right then Mr Dawkins will give you a harder question. A Win Bin is when get a get a ticket which goes into a draw for a prize

HOW WE KNOW WE HAVE MADE PROGRESS

WE ARE A HEALTHY SCHOOL We have lots of outside resources to help us make friends play nicely help us be kind to others and help us learn !!!!!!!!!!! We have a health tuck shop run by the children. We decide what to buy by asking the children for their ideas

FOREST SCHOOL!!! Forest school is educational for nature and outside work and play it is also where animals live for peace and quiet so if you go in be quiet. At forest school we cook and eat what we cook. We also make shelters to have fun in. when we are in the forest we collect thing from the floor. Then we put them together to make some amazing, colorful,vivid, art work to display around the school.

WE ARE AN ECO SCHOOL We do energy eagles with Mr Jones the teacher of class two ! At our school we have energy eagles who help everyone to follow our eco code. We have an action plan and are working hard to save energy and improve our grounds.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS !!! We do first aid with Mr Jones Athletics with Jo And lots more At our school we do lots of clubs such as : Athletics First aid And lots more!!!
