6. Maths one hour every day
This year Maths is being taught in class settings. This change has been made because research shows that it is more beneficial to all children and the majority of schools are now teaching this way. Lessons will be differentiated to meet the needs of all children and there will be plenty of stretch and support provided.

The new national curriculum sets out what pupils should be taught by the end of each year. This programme of study is more demanding, with a more ambitious expected standard which are ‘age related’ skills set out by the Government.
We assess your child in many ways. It provides us with valuable information to analyse and review achievements and progress in learning against age related expected standards.
