Mission The mission of the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AF JROTC) Develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community Many people have the misperception that the JROTC is a high school recruiting tool used by the military branches to entice enrollment into the military. Nothing could be further from the truth. Some cadets do join the military, most don’t. Those who do probably were inclined to do so anyway which is why they joined. There are benefits to being in JROTC if you’re going to join the military. There is no military commitment for getting involved with the JROTC, only hard work and great fun. NextPrev
