Presentation transcript:

A: Your supervisor is explaining the protective gear you need. B: The signs hanging above show you the type of protective gear you need in each area. This is Mike. He’s supposed to have 3 pieces of protective gear, but he’s only got 2. Do you know the names of the gear he’s wearing?

A: Your supervisor is explaining the protective gear you need. B: OK. This guy has everything he needs. He has ear protection, eye protection, and he’s wearing a mask. Why do you think he needs to wear a mask?

A: Now your supervisor explains another piece of safety equipment. B: In some jobs, you’ll need to wear a full face shield like this. This gives you better visibility. A: Ask your supervisor to explain what “visibility” means.

A: The supervisor shows you one more place on the tour. B: This is the clean room. Here you have to wear total equipment so you don’t contaminate the product. You get paid more to work in this room, but you have to work 6 days a week. Would you be interested in this job?

A: Now it’s lunch time. You enter the lunchroom and sit down at a table with some other people. What can you say to introduce yourself?

A: Finally your first day is done. When you get home, your children ask you about the day. B: Hi. How was your first day at work? C: Did you see some cool stuff? A: Tell your kids something about your new job.
