Do Now List your top 5 reasons not to drink alcohol.

No thanks, it is illegal I could lose my drivers license I could get grounded. My parents would take my car away. It does not solve problems. I had a hangover once, I don’t want to repeat the experience. Too much alcohol can damage organs, like cirrhosis of the liver. I could get kicked off the basketball team. It would disappoint my parents. Drinking and driving is dangerous. Lets go to a movie instead. Lets shoot some hoops. How about I challenge you in a video game.

Saying NO!!!! Remember, peer pressure is real. You must be prepared to deal with the various situations you will find yourself in! Know how to say no…..

How can you say no… Say no and mean it! Keep saying no….be firm but friendly Give a reason why you won’t…be honest! State the consequences…. Walk away from the situation… Suggest something else to do….. Group pressure…single out an ally! Make a joke of it…..

Saying no to friends is difficult at times. Practice how you will say “NO!” No thanks, I could get in trouble No thanks, I’m in training for soccer. No thanks, lets go to a movie instead No thanks, ………… No thanks, ………….. No thanks, …………… No thanks, ………………..
