T EACHERS AND S TUDENTS T ECHNOLOGY S TANDARDS Brittney Nolen

T EACHERS T ECHNOLOGY S TANDARDS Teachers need to use their knowledge of the subject matter to facilitate and inspire learning and creativity. This is done by engaging the student using technology. Teachers should design, develop and evaluate real learning experiences and incorporate them to support student learning by using technology. Teachers should have fluency in using technology and work with students with technology; allowing students to become familiar with technology. Teachers should create a safe environment while teaching the use of technology. Teachers should explain how to use technology in a safe manner and legally. Teachers also need to engage in professional development by continuously becoming familiar with new technology and how it can help improve student learning.

S TUDENTS T ECHNOLOGY S TANDARDS Students should demonstrate creativity and knowledge of technology. Students should be able to interact using digital media to collaborate allowing for engagement and student learning Students should be fluent in the use of technology, being able to evaluate and apply information on how to use technology Students should be able to use thinking skills to use resources using technology Students will understand how to be safe using technology while engaging in learning activities. Also exhibiting understanding of using technology resources legally. Students will understand technology and how to apply applications correctly to engage in a learning environment.

T EACHERS AND S TUDENTS S TANDARDS COMPARISON Teachers and students will show creativity and learning of technology. They will be showing how to engage learning by the use of technology resources. Teachers and students will use digital media to communicate, engaging in learning and collaborating with one another Teachers and students both will show fluency of technology; being able to communicate and collaborate information of media and sources of technology Teachers and students will exhibit safety of technology use as well as maintaining legal use of technology resources.

T EACHERS AND S TUDENTS S TANDARDS C ONTRAST Teachers must provide their own knowledge so that students will be able to become fluent in the use of technology. Teachers must construct a classroom in which learning will be engaged. Teachers must be able to develop learning experiences while the student will be part of Teachers must show professional growth as technology changes and new resources are available

T EACHERS AND S TUDENTS S TANDARDS C ONTRAST Students must be willing to learn by the use of technology. Students must be able to conduct their own research in learning new ways to use technology. Students should demonstrate how to use technology systems and apply the applications appropriately.

S TUDENTS AND TECHNOLOGY STANDARDS Be creative in using technology applying general ideas and/or creating work Communicate, collaborate with the use of technology Be able to understand how and when to use technology; being fluent Use safety when using technology resources also being aware of the legal aspects of the resources used Understand the use of applications effectively and productively

CONCLUSION  Teachers and Students must work together to engage in a learning technology advanced classroom  Teachers and Students should demonstrate safety and legal use of technology resources  Teachers and Students should explore new technology resources  Teachers and Students must show fluency on the use of technology  Teachers and Students should continually show growth with technology and its resources
