My Ambition Pathway Map Brief Charlotte Smith

Topic STEM Generic Aims  A mini project to complete which aids learners in deciding on a career path and the steps they need to take to get there  Will also help develop project and planning skills  Build confidence when contacting potential Universities and Employers Level Level 1, 2, 3 & 4 Method Slideshow, Hand-outs, each slide encourages learners to independently research their potential ambition pathway options, progression to university, employment or take a GAP year. Learners are able to share their MAP project with their teachers, employers and peer learners to demonstrate their desirable personal qualities and attributes Equipment  PC/Laptop  Hand-outs Duration 1 Hour +

Produce a presentation on what you want to do after you finish college Choose either a University Path, Career Path or Gap Year Path option Remember if you choose a GAP YEAR Path, you will also need to research either a Career or University Route for when you return Use this as a spring board to explore your future plans – it doesn’t matter if they change once you have completed your presentation

Begin with an introduction of what you have investigated and why you have chosen your particular path End with a conclusion on the choice you have made and why Include a list of sources you have used at the end of your presentation e.g. websites, prospectuses, books Include images which you comment on in your presentation - photos, diagrams, maps

State why you have chosen that course in your introduction If you can not decide on one source remember many Universities allow you to study a joint degree for example English and Art History
