Making the website

Get your folders sorted first Create a new folder in “N” called “My hockey website” Create folders inside called “Documents”, “images” and “html” or “web pages” Now “link” the site in Dreamweaver using the video.

Stage 1 – the layout The layout has three sections Open a new web page (right click on “Site” and click New file) and watch the video to help you create the layout. Watch Video 1 – “create layout”

Stage 2 – create blank pages You will use a “template” file to save you time. Before that, you need to have the blank pages ready Watch the “create blank pages” video

Stage 3 – create template page Each page will look the same but you will be able to add text and other content to one section. This keeps the consistency and makes linking easier. Watch the “create template page” video

Stage 4 – apply template to blank pages Now you need to make each page work By using the template you only had to set up links to each page once... Watch the “apply the template” video

Stage 5 – home page outside The examiner needs to be able to click the home page and load your site in a browser It must therefore be outside the folders Watch the “get home page outside” video AND finally TEST by watching “testing the pages”
