Whey Protein Experiment

I want to test the effectiveness of the consumption of Whey Protein on cardiovascular fitness. Since controlling the human diet is difficult, I will perform this experiment on hamsters.

I will measure and record the initial cardiovascular fitness of my three hamsters by recording how long my hamsters can run on a hamster wheel.

I will then feed Hamster A 15 g of Whey Protein per day, Hamster B 10 g of Whey Protein per day, Hamster C 5 g of Whey Protein per day, and Hamster D 0 g of Whey Protein per day. All 3 Hamsters had the same initial level of fitness.

Though my hamsters are fed different amounts of Whey Protein, they will all consume the exact same amount of calories (the Hamsters who eat less Whey Protein will eat more carbohydrates.)

After a week, I will re-record how long my hamsters can run on the hamster wheel to see if consuming Whey Protein helped improve cardiovascular fitness.

Identify the independent variable, dependent variable, control group, and experimental constants in this experiment.
