1. ACTIVATE the fire alarm and notify emergency personnel as soon as possible. Have someone else do this for you if you are unable. ACTIVATE Back to menu

2. ASSIST anyone in immediate danger, or anyone incapable of exiting the building on their own. Do not put yourself at risk. ASSIST Back to menu

3. Only after first two steps (activating and assisting), you should ATTEMPT to extinguish the fire on your own. Only do this if you are feeling confident in your abilities to put out a fire. ATTEMPT Back to menu

Step 2: AIM Aim the nozzle or hose at the base of the fire from a safe distance. Back to menu

Step 3: SQUEEZE Squeeze the operating lever to discharge the fire extinguisher agent. Back to menu

Step 4: SWEEP Sweep the nozzle or hose from side to side until the fire is out. Move forward or around the fire area as the fire diminishes. Watch the area in case of re-ignition. Back to menu
