Service Learning Tyler Davis

Types of Service I did different types of service projects. I participated in a carwash for the American Heart Society that raised approximately 300 dollars. I also provided transportation for the youth pastor at my church. I setup and ran a multimedia system at my church.

Where the Money Went We raised three hundred dollars that went to the American Heart Association. The money went to a specific fund called Legacy of Life Endowment. We started to raise money to help the association because of John Bailey Davis. He was an infant who had congenital heart disease. His parents, Matt and Theresa Davis, started to encourage people to give so that the research might someday save other babies. If they raise 10,000 dollars the endowment will be named after him.

The Carwash I helped wash about five cars and trucks. I then went out to the road and encouraged customers to visit.

Driving Ms. Daisy I went and picked up Jason Wells from out of town. He had went on business and I used my own gas to do it.

Youth Pastor Just a random picture from the trip.

Setting Up a Multimedia Presentation I learned how to run a program called Sunday Plus. It uses DVD, PowerPoint, and music as well as others.

What I Learned I learned that you can have fun doing community service. That sometimes service is difficult. Also service can be easy. Sometimes you have to give a little to receive a lot.
