 How do Wii games influence participation in physical sport?  1. To understand the importance of exercise (linked with circulatory system)  2. To create and evaluate instructions for a game  3. To be able to build on formal speaking and listening skills to present to a live audience  4. To develop word processing skills to advertise their products

 ICT  Science  English  PSHE

 Exploring Wii games  Mind maps – What the children already know and what the children want to find out about the importance of exercise?  Science – circulatory system  Letters will be sent out to P.E specialists

 Carousel of activities in P.E e.g. bowling, tennis and basketball shooting.  Creating instructions to play their games  Playing games and evaluating to see if the games are specific enough.

 Sports specialists to advise students  Creating individual games in small groups with instructions to go alongside

 Children play each others games  What works well? What needs improving?  Further specialists coming into the school  Evaluation of individual games

 ICT – to promote their games through advertisement e.g. posters

 Apprenticeship – Preparing and presenting their games for a assembly.  Students to vote the best game to incorporate it to the school’s P.E curriculum from Reception Year to Year 6.
