Robert’s Birth Born on August 11, 1854 Born in Rockingham County Lived in Winston-Salem most his life

Robert’s Personal life He was enrolled in a per-law course at the University of Virginia He had always wanted to fallow his fathers footsteps in the study of law at Richmond Pearsons Law School.

Glenn’s Family Glenns father was a tobacco farmer and attorney named Clammers Glenn His mothers name was Annie Dodge In 1878 Glenn married Nina Deaderick of Knoxville, Tennessee Glenn also had two children named Clammers and Rebecca

Governor Glenn was the Governor from Glenn was a Democratic Governor Glenn was known as the “Prohibition Governor” because of his successful companion to ban liquor statewide in 1908 Glenn was also a popular public speaker for a Presbyterian church

After Governor After his turn in office Glenn returned to the practice of law in Winston-Salem He was also an officer of the North Carolina National Guard and a member of the anti-saloon league.

Death Glenn was 66 years old when he died. He died on may 16, 1920 He died 11 years after he was governor He died on a trip to Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada.
