Elemental Conflict – Mood Boards - The Magikarps -

Music and Sound Effects When a Pokémon will attack either a structure or another enemy Pokémon, when it conducts a move the move will have a sound that is relevant to the move. For example, in the image you can see a Teipig using Flamethrower, if Teipig in game was to use this move, the sound effect that would come with this would be the sound effect from an actual flamethrower. I have decided to use this concept because it allows the moves to become more realistic and for the user to be able to identify what the move is just from the sound of it. It also gives a better effect to when using the move and gives each move individuality and also makes it feel more powerful. Sound Effects - Moves

Music and Sound Effects When a Pokémon is moving, it will also produce a sound from either footsteps, flying or any type of movement the Pokémon can do. Therefore, for our game concept, I would suggest that real life noises of animals that a Pokémon is similar to would be the noise that the Pokémon makes when moving. So for example, a Charizard when flying would have the sound of what a winged animal would make when dashing through the sky. I have decided to use this concept because once again it adds realism into the game and as well as this, it also is the standard thing you would expect, so it keeps the familiarity for the users. Sound Effects - Movement

Music and Sound Effects It is important that in our game you are notified when one of your Pokémon level up as it entitles you to know that your Pokémon is either close to an evolution or to learning a new move, as well getting increased stats. Therefore in our concept for our game, when a Pokémon has levelled up it will speak to notify the player as well from a visual aid to show they have that they have levelled up. For example, if eevee levelled up, then eevee would pronounce his or hers name to say that it has levelled up. I thought of using the Pokémon's voice to level up because it is unique from any other RTS game I have seen, they will either show from a visual aid or from a beep or ping. It also keeps the familiarity of Pokémon with the use of the Pokémon in a way interacting with you when they become stronger or ‘level up’. Sound Effects –Level up

Music and Sound Effects When you destroy a structure, it allows you progress further in the game and also allows you to gain special items or abilities for your Pokémon, therefore when it is destroyed, there should be good graphics and also good sound effects from it. Therefore in our gaming concept, when a structure is destroyed a type of imploding noise with occur or an explosion to indicate that the structure has been destroyed and the player can progress. An example of this would be in League Of Legends. When a structure is destroyed on this game, it implodes and has a great sound effect when doing so, therefore this is where I got my inspiration for our sound effect. It is important that we use this as it indicates to the player that you have destroyed the structure and it adds a good effect towards the visual effects of when the structure is destroyed also. Sound Effects –Destroying Points

Music and Sound Effects It is important to have introduction music to when the player loads up the game and the game starts. This is because it identifies either the game or makes the player become more interested in the game straight away if it is catchy. Therefore, for our gaming concept will we have introduction music from the Pokémon X and Y intro music. I chose this because for one, it is the most modern of the music so it will be music that the player is most familiar with. In addition to this, when I have played Pokémon X and Y the introduction music to that game is phenomenal and makes me really excited for the game to load up and play. This is therefore where my inspiration came for this game and why I chose to use this for our gaming concept. Music – Intro

Music and Sound Effects When the users are playing our game, I find it to be better if there is some type of background music to set the type of mood or atmosphere for the game. Therefore for our gaming concept I have decided to have background music for the users when playing a game. The music will depend on how well or bad the player is doing and also to set the atmosphere for the player to get them interested when playing. I thought of this because when I was playing a different version of Pokémon called Pokémon Reborn, the music they used is all from the Pokémon series whether game, anime or film. It was really interesting and unique and it also had songs which made you feel good and more interested to play, so this was my inspiration for this and why I have chosen to go down this route.
