Learning Objectives After studying this lesson, you will be able to:  Use the Word Start screen and window  Work with the Ribbon and Quick Access toolbar  Open, close, and navigate in documents  Type a new document  Use Word help 2

Presenting Word 2013 What can Word 2013 do?  Provide the right tool for:  Every aspect of document creation  Desktop publishing  Web publishing 3

Starting Word Windows 7:  Click Start  Choose Microsoft Office > Microsoft Word 2013 from the All Programs menu. Windows 8:  Locate the Word 2013 tile on the Windows Start screen.  Click the tile to start Word. 4
