DESCRIBE HEALTH PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH SMOKELESS TOBACCO USE. IDENTIFY FOUR TYPES OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS OTHER THAN CIGARETTES. EXPLAIN WHY ENVIRONMENTAL TOBACCO SMOKE IS HARMFUL.

RAISED HEART RATE AND BLOOD PRESSURE 2. BAD ODOR ON HAIR, NAILS, AND SKIN 3. NAUSEA 4. A LACK OF SENSITIVITY IN TASTE BUDS 5. SHORTNESS OF BREATH 6. INCREASED NUMBER OF ILLNESSES

DEFINITIONS CHEWING TOBACCO CHEWING TOBACCO IS COARSELY CHOPPED TOBACCO LEAVES THAT CONTAIN FLAVORINGS AND ADDITIVES MUCH LIKE THE TOBACCO IN CIGARETTES. SNUFF SNUFF IS A FLAVORED POWDER. IT IS PLACED BETWEEN THE CHEEK AND GUM. PIPES, CIGARS, CLOVES, AND BIDIS PIPE TOBACCO, CIGARS, AND CLOVE CIGARETTES ARE OTHER COMMON TOBACCO PRODUCTS THAT ARE SMOKED. BIDIS ARE UNFILTERED CIGARETTES THAT ARE WRAPPED IN TOBACCO LEAVES. AVOID PASSIVE SMOKING THE SAME CHEMICALS THAT ARE FOUND IN THE SMOKE INHALED BY SMOKERS ARE ALSO FOUND IN ENVIRONMENTAL TOBACCO SMOKE—SOMETIMES IN HIGHER CONCENTRATIONS.
