How old is a glass of water?
Let’s Look at The Three Parts of the Water Cycle: 1. Evaporation 2. Condensation 3. Precipitation
Evaporation The sun heats up liquid water in rivers, lakes, oceans, etc. and turns it into vapor (gas).
Condensation Water vapor (gas) in air gets cold and changes back into liquid water, forming clouds.
Precipitation When the air can’t hold any more moisture and the clouds get heavy. The water falls back to the earth in the form of rain, hail, sleet or snow.
