Ask for help if necessary

Edmodo Your children have signed up for Edmodo for their respective classes Through the use of Edmodo, we will be able to utilize the different features it offers such as Class discussion boards Quizzes Homework assignments that can be turned in online

Fusion Page This is where you can find information on Daily assignments Quiz Dates Any announcements that need made

Grades Grades are based on % Homework and classwork assignments Point values will vary Quizzes and Tests will be worth anywhere from points depending on the unit Grades are updated daily/weekly

Tests and Quizzes Tests and quizzes are listed on my Fusion Page Quizzes every Friday unless told in advance. Students know well in advance of any tests and quizzes (typically quizzes are halfway through the unit and tests at the end of the unit)

Homework Regulations New homework regulations on the teachers As an eighth grade team we are not allowed to give more than 2 hours of homework each night.

Test Retakes The student’s know about my test retake policy. If they want to retake a test they can, they have to print out the form from my fusion page and must turn it in to me within 1 WEEK of the original test date. When they do a retake we will average the two scores together and take that grade

Calculators We are using the TI-83 and TI-84 calculators in class We use them daily
