The zooplankton help the bay because they are wondering animals. Why are blue crabs important to the bay because they are a special food source. sturgeons are important to the bay because they visited the bay for over a million years. That is why zooplankton, blue crabs and sturgeons

Eastern oysters are important to the bay because oysters are bivalves that has two shells. Bivalves belong to the mollusk family of animals. Animals in this family have hard exterior that protects there soft inner bodies. Adult oysters are dirty gray on the outside oysters shells can grow.

What I’ve learned is that sturgeons, red beard sponges and eastern oysters are all important to the bay because they are all animals that visited the bay a lot of times. They endangered animals that live in the bay that is polluted.

Read beard sponges are the most common sponges found in the Chesapeake bay. Like all the other sponges red beard sponges have pores all over their surface that allows the water to come into and leaves their bodies. They don’t have organs like a stomach or lungs. Instead, they have numbers of cells that help them to survive and grow.

Sturgeon are large fish that have visited the Chesapeake bay for over a million years. They are larger and live longer than any other fish in the bay. They are also like dinosaurs. There mouth is on the other side of there body. Sturgeons are are bottom feeders, they cruise slowly along the bottom of the bay using their snouts to turn over the sediment.
