2 Why is it important to have a variety of living things in the Bay? It is important to have a variety of living things in the Bay. Oysters are important to the bay because they provide habits for other fish. The Blue Crabs help keep the Bay numbers up high. The Widgeon Grass are important because it produces oxygen. My research will show that Blue Crabs, Oysters, and Widgeon Grass are important to the Bay.

3 Blue Crabs How are Blue Crabs important to the bay? Blue Crabs are one of the most well known animals in the Chesapeake Bay. They are scavengers. Blue Crabs like to eat both plants and animals. There are 459 million Blue Crabs in the Bay. People want they’re numbers to stay up high because people like to eat them. Also people developed a language about them.

4 Oysters How are oysters important to the bay? Oysters help keep the water clean. They get rid of plankton,and provide food for other organisms. Also, they don’t only provide food, but habitats for other fish. Oysters act as filters, too. That is why we should help oysters to survive the Chesapeake bay. The next thing we will talk about is Wigdeon Grass.

5 Widgeon Grass How are the Widgeon Grass important to the bay. They produce oxygen for other creatures to survive. And create underground meadows like it’s meadows. Also it anchors soil the bottom of the bay.

6 Conclusion In conclusion I learned that a lot of creatures are important to the bay. The Blue Crabs, Oysters, and Widgeon Grass are important to the bay. They have a lot of neat features, and help the bay.
