Academic Skills Lab The Academic Skills Lab is open to all students at Alamance Community College. The Skills Lab staff is here to help you help yourself! The Skills Lab is located in Rooms of the Carrington-Scott Campus (main building behind the Information Desk). Fall and Spring semester hours are: Monday through Thursday - 7:30am to 9:00pm, Friday - 7:30am to 3:00pm, Saturday – 8:00am - noon. Summer semester hours are: Monday through Thursday - 7:30am to 9:00pm, Friday - 7:30am to Noon, Saturday - Closed.

Everyone who requests a tutor in the Skills Lab needs to register online and choose the Academic Skills Lab schedule for the current semester. If you want, you can come by the lab, and we will help you register.

It takes just a few minutes to register, and you only need to do it once while you are a student here at ACC. Be careful of typos. You will need to repeat this information in order to log in. You can leave the options at their default setting of “Yes” or change one, some, or all to “No”.

Once you have registered and can log in, you will see a schedule that looks similar to this. It allows you to browse all of the times that tutors are available and pick a time convenient for you. The white boxes are available times. Click the “Limit to:” drop-down box to choose and display tutor(s) for only a specific subject. “Limit to:” drop-down box

When you click on a tutor’s open appointment time, this is an example what you see. Use the drop down menus to fill in information about your course, instructor, and whether or not your class is online, and then save your appointment. Lastname, Firstname (your address)

After you save the appointment, you will receive a confirmation.
