ETIQUETTE…

… Bad Format: “i want to drop a class”

… Good Format: “Dear Mrs. Scott, My name is Jane Doe. I would like to drop Strength Training because I am already lifting weights after school. Are there any available courses that I can replace for Strength Training? Thank you, Jane Doe”

ETIQUETTE  Opening Greeting: “Dear Mrs. Scott”  Specific Details: “I would like to drop Strength Training because I am already lifting weights after school. Are there any available courses that I can replace for Strength Training?”  Closing: “Thank you, Jane Doe”  Proper Grammar/Punctuation/etc.

WHY IS ETIQUETTE IMPORTANT???  Adults operate this way!  Teachers appreciate it.  It’s good practice for when you’re an adult!  People my age will be hiring you when you’re an adult, and this is how we learned!
