Northwest Earth & Space Sciences Pipeline Northwest Earth & Space Sciences Pipeline continued to launch programs in four areas: Outreach Events  Rocketry ShowCase - South End Seattle (WA) May 14 th -30 students, teachers and volunteers participated.  Museum of Flight and Red Tail Hawks (WA) performed two sessions of Aerospace Engineering concepts (80 student present) for Exploration of Mars  Lummi Nation High School (WA, 26 Students) had their first field trip to the Pacific Science Center  NESSP Staff met with Tribal Leaders for Warm Springs and Umatilla, OR to setup future events in June and July  NESSP Director gave Radio Interview with Tribal Radio Station KWSO, Warm Springs OR 5/16/2016Robert

Middle School Students - Advertising for NASA-Focused Summer Camps has gone out for :  Central Washington University, Ellensberg WA  Everett Community College, WA  Montana State University, MT  Oregon Museum of Science and Industry has modified 3 different summer class programs include NASA sciences for offerings this summer – participant recruitment is under way  Pacific Science Center is presently revamping middle school programs to include more NASA data. High School Student Enrichment Efforts:  Curriculum Developments for Sophomore Version of Western Aerospace Scholars under Museum of Flight  Red Tail Hawks Flying Club under the Black Pilots of American Association in WA has started its recruitment efforts for cohort for academic year 2016/17 Northwest Earth & Space Sciences Pipeline

Teacher Training  Developing Online Courses and Virtual Live Meeting with Matter Experts within the Region for All Teachers involved in NESSP  Teacher Training Workshops are Planned at Montana State University and the University of Washington.  North Central Education Service District (WA) has recruited 11 teachers to develop curriculum using NASA material for MS and HS to meet Next Generation Science Standards  Olympic Education Service District (WA) held an Educator Astronomy and Aerospace STEM Café May teachers attending. A 4-day professional workshop in collaboration University of Washington is planned for last week of June  Oregon Museum of Science and Industry will hold a Space Science Educator Workshop July 12  South Metro-Salem will hold a 3-day middle school teacher professional development workshop in June  NESSP Educator partners are working on a online delivery system for subject matter to be shared amongst members.

Northwest Earth & Space Sciences Pipeline Northwest Earth & Space Sciences Pipeline external evaluation plans were submitted in Late March. The Director and Associate Director have video conferences with the evaluation team once a month to ensure we are on track to meet goals, make course corrections as needed, and ensure major programs are evaluated for impact.
