Responsible agencies Equality Unit The Ombudsman for Equality Equality Board The Council for Gender Equality Parliament The EU Ombudsman The European Court of Justice The Ombudsman for Minorities Occupational safety and health authorities supervise compliance with equality legislation in the working place. Employers and institutions of higher education are obliged under the Equality Act to draw up equality plans for promoting gender equality. Many non-governmental organizations are also involved in equality work.
