Group of students 2 week stay around Halloween

While the American students continue their normal school schedule…. The French group will go on daily excursions during the school day…. Historic Philadelphia, the Franklin Institute, Linvilla Orchards, Longwood gardens… and 2 big excursions: Possibly NYC and Washington D.C.

March 2017 Culture Quest-

Homestay in Avignon with our exchange partners then 2 days touring Paris Possible dates: Thursday, March 30 th through Wednesday, April 12th

Host Obligations Separate bed Provide all meals Invite your exchange student to participate in your weekend activities Provide transportation Covered dish dinner Be welcoming

Travel Obligations Willingness to host Attend all pre-travel meetings Adhere to ALL payment and paperwork deadlines Remain FLEXIBLE Agree to follow district rules

Selection Criteria Enrolled in Intermediate French III, Advanced French IV or AP French V during academic year. Recommendations reflecting responsibility, solid attendance, excellent discipline, and projected ability to handle absence.

Cost Approximately $3200 all-inclusive except spending money, passport costs and 1 lunch in Paris. $325 deposit due by Thursday, April 21st. (RTMSD.) $400 payment due by June 15th. (Culture Quest) $350 payment due by September 15 th Remaining balance due 90 days before departure.

Next Steps- Submit completed application with check to RTMSD for $325 by 4/21 at 3 PM Payment of $400 to Culture Quest by 6/15 Receive partner contact information and begin communicating over the summer Exchange meeting for students and parents approx. 10 days before the French group’s arrival in October.
