Copyright 2009 Northumberland County Council Background Identified the need for improved fair, transparent and accessible systems to support the local economy. No single point of contact for suppliers to contact for low value opportunities. System already adopted by other regional authorities.

Copyright 2009 Northumberland County Council What is Quick Quotations? Pro-contract is currently used within NCC and Authorities across the North East for E-Tendering via North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO). E-Sourcing System to allow authorities obtain quotes for works under £50k. Works by randomly selecting registered suppliers from Pro-contract when issuing a request for a quotation.

Copyright 2009 Northumberland County Council Quick Quotation Aims Support local businesses / the local economy. Recognise and provide equal opportunities for goods and services. Provide Value for Money through fair, open and transparent competitive process.

Copyright 2009 Northumberland County Council Definition of ‘Local’ The system allows us to customise number of suppliers invited to quote – for Northumberland County Council this is 4 suppliers, 2 of which will be ‘local’ where possible. Local…all NE and TD15 postal codes with ‘Northumberland’ suppliers selected first where possible.
