Presentation transcript:

Long ago in the land of Egypt, there was a princess named Cleopatra. Everybody called her Cinderella though.

Cleopatra lived with her step-sister s and step-mother, who were all mummies.

They made Cleopatra wash all of their dishes and clothes in the Nile River. They also made her take care of their cat, Bastet, who was named after the god of the cats.

One day, the prince, also known as the Pharaoh, announced that he was going to be having a royal ball and everyone in the land was invited!

One the day of the ball, Cleopatra had to get her sisters ready. She had to feed Bastet and wash him. She also had to change her sister’s bandages. Not a very fun night. You would think the ball would make up for that night.

Sadly, Cleopatra couldn’t go to the ball. She was spending so much time getting her sisters ready, she did not have time to get ready. She sat on her bed crying.

All of a sudden, Cleopatra’s fairy godmother, the Sphinx, came and turned her old rags into a lovely dress and a nearby fig into a camel-drawn chariot. When she was about to leave, the Sphinx said to be back by midnight. Cleopatra said she would obey.

As Cleopatra rode to the ball, she thought how much fun she would have at the ball. Then, she started to worry about her sisters seeing her. Good thing they were on the other side of the room when she entered the ball! She just happened to be right in the area where the pharaoh was. He asked her to dance. After that dance, it was midnight and she had to go immediately.

When she was running out of the ballroom, the prince was running after her. She had dropped one of her papyrus sandals!

The chariot had disappeared and so had her dress so she had to run home in her rags.

When she go home, she started crying again. What she did not know was the prince was looking for her.

After days and weeks of searching, he came to Cleopatra’s pyramid with the sandal. He tried it on both of Cleopatra’s step-sisters. It did not fit. Cleopatra came downstairs to try on the sandal. It fit! “Will you be mine? “ the prince asked. “Of course, I will,” said the new princess.

After the wedding, they lived happily ever after. THE END
