Presentation Objective To provide the Council with a brief overview of the role, function and priorities of the Maritime Provinces Regional Committee on Coastal and Oceans Management (RCCOM)

Roles Oversight, monitoring and performance assessment of integrated coastal and oceans planning and management processes. Formal and executive-level government involvement and endorsement of the development and implementation of integrated coastal and oceans management plans, and coordination of related planning processes. Coordinate decision making at the intergovernmental and interdepartmental levels on coastal and oceans management issues. Support strategic oversight for management and regulatory matters for integrated coastal and oceans management and planning processes within the Maritimes Provinces
