What is ”Men in health professions”? Why ”Men in health professions”? How do we do it? What are our results?

A project for unemployed adult men between 26 and 55 years old – who are offered a unique 2,5 year education programme in the Health Care Sector The participant earns a degree and is licensed to work as an Auxiliary Nurse (health worker) The participant is during education titled Health Recruit As a Health Recruit you receive either benefits from the state or salary from your municipality What is ”Men in health professions”?

2035: Estimates show that Norway will lack approx. 57,000 Health Care Workers At present: Only 10% male employees in the Health and Welfare Sector – significant potential! More diversity and a wider specter of academic working environment A workforce reflecting the individuals in need of health care assistance Why Men in health professions?
