Materials: Notebook & pencil Ecology Textbook 2/8/16 Agenda: Bell work Go over homework – 2.1 & 2.2 BP - SYMBIOSIS Ecology- Section 2.3 No gum, candy or chewing please! DO: Today we will learn about how and why ecosystems are always changing. DQ: What are the three ways that organisms can interact in a symbiotic relationship?

Ch 2.3 Ecosystems are always changing. Define the following terms while you read: Limiting Factor - a condition that limits the growth of a population in a n ecosystem. Carrying Capacity – when a population reaches a state where it can no longer grow Succession – the gradual change in an ecosystem in which one biological community is replaced by another.
