Annual revenues are £2.5m-£3m. Capital Markets Events is an important business line generating revenues from sponsorship and participating companies as well as promoting the London markets to potential issuers. The Training business is strongly aligned to the Exchange’s core objectives to support business development and provide high quality services to clients. Product Manager – Capital Markets Events Identify opportunities for new CME research projects to test commercial viability – Capital Markets Days and IPO seminars; Planning and implementation of an events pipeline to grow sustainable annual revenue targets of > £500k and profitability per event >40%, with a view to increasing profitability; Development of an extensive network of external partners to design and facilitate CMEs in the UK and overseas; Work with your extensive buyside network of contacts, alongside internal stakeholders where necessary, to implement the LSEG’s buyside strategy; Primary Markets representative on the Buyside Strategy Working Group; Identify sponsorship sales opportunities and lead negotiation in conjunction with the Business Account Manager; Lead internal collaboration with PAM teams to ensure alignment with broader business objectives and especially contribute to the IPO pipeline; Liaison with internal teams and external clients on programme logistics and event management; Host the event “On the day” playing a leading role as appropriate as well as event co-ordination; and Act as a mentor to the Business Account Manager. Degree level education and relevant work experience is required; Corporate or institutional client management experience is essential; Strong sales focus and negotiation skills are key, with a focus on maximising profits and a track record of new business development; Investor relations background is preferred with good contacts with institutional investors; Highly polished presentation and facilitation skills are important; The successful candidate will be an extremely motivated and well organised self-starter; Thorough understanding of capital markets and aptitude to acquire sectoral or geography knowledge to maximise effectiveness of CME opportunities; and Good systems experience is a pre-requisite, in particular MS Office Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
