DUE: First Draft (Peer Review): (enter date here) Final Draft: (enter date here)

The teenagers Romeo and Juliet fall in love in the 16 th century and make life-changing decisions in a matter of days. Based on what you learned in the video “Insight into the Teenage Brain” and the article “Beautiful Brains” by David Dobbs, to what extent are Romeo and Juliet’s actions consistent with what modern science reveals about decision-making and behavior in adolescents? Cite specific evidence from the video, the article and the play, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet to support your response.

The first step in your essay is to look at two additional sources (besides the play) that you will be including in your essay. Both sources are about the teenage brain. In each source, look for information about how the teenage brain affects both behaviors and decision making. The information that you find will be used as evidence (concrete details/citations) when you write your essay.

 Step One: Watch the video: (be sure to take notes on important information presented in the video) XxY&list=PL3uIUppVTSkvkP1g9M10Z_OdGhso8- t1y&index=219 XxY&list=PL3uIUppVTSkvkP1g9M10Z_OdGhso8- t1y&index=219  Step Two: As a class summarize Galvan’s main ideas/points. Discuss how her research informs our understanding of teenage behavior and decision-making.  Step Three: Evaluate the credibility of the evidence presented by Galvan.
