South Cambridgeshire District Council Visiting Support Service District-wide April 2014 for Over 65’s 517 sheltered residents supported – July 2012 to March new referrals since 1 April 2014 Short-term, confidential service providing emotional, financial and practical support Free of charge – must be eligible (needs & risk assessment) Referral process Significant outcomes – financial; debt management; budgeting; combatting social isolation; setting up new tenancies/tenancy sustainment; health and social care
