Corporate Collaboration with Visual Communications Visual communications is the future of corporate collaboration technology and organizations need to use it along with unified communication. In this article we are going to discuss the primary benefits and offer suggestions for the communication heads of companies that want to create a collaborative and competitive enterprise. Importance of Virtual Communication The dynamics of modern businesses are driven by competition and this has led to several changes in the methods and tools used for communication. Every business looks for a competitive advantage, and in order to gain that, the company’s collective knowledge needs to be harnessed. Time bound decision- making is possible only when you are able to harness information from within and outside the organization. Hence, it is imperative that virtual communication is given due importance. Organisations need Visual Communication Organizations that are able to use visual communication are bound to stay ahead in the competition. The companies that have not yet realized the importance of visual conversation will lose both revenue and profit in the long run. There are several organizations that are slowly implementing a variety of tools for corporate collaboration but these often fail to fulfill their needs. Communication and collaboration tools are often used in isolation by different workers, which fail to produce the desired results. Inter-connectivity of Corporate Collaboration and Visual Communication Corporate collaboration today implies visual conversation as it includes all the necessary elements of collaboration through re-creation of face-to-face meetings. It is very easy to use the visual conversation tools as they can be easily implemented and the solutions adapt according to the needs of the

user. Meetings turn more fruitful as the executives are able to focus on the core problems and find solutions instead of wasting time on eliminating technical barriers. CIOs and CTOs should leverage Visual Communication The CIOs and CTOs of companies should fast realize that visual collaboration is indispensible and they should focus on making policy changes to adopt them. Some of the steps that the business leaders and IT heads of companies can take for implementing visual conversation are:  Make it available to one and all. It must be the aim of the business leaders and IT heads that every worker in an organization is able to use the visual collaboration tools. All the workers should be able to access the visual conversation tools and reach out to anyone in the organization with the help of ad hoc and scheduled conversations.  Development of performance metrics and key benchmarks. The organization should be able to correlate the usage of visual collaboration with the productivity gains. Thus, it is important that proper benchmarks and performance metrics are implemented. Organization should be able to calculate and find the impact of the collaboration tools.  Holistic change is needed in the case where an organization wants to embrace all the visual collaboration tools. Vendors and other business associates need to be included so that the organization is better equipped to meet future challenges. The company should not lose business just because of vendor incompetency or other factors that can be easily resolved. Harness the Power of Visual Communication Visual communication in the corporate world has taken a paradigm shift and the companies that lag behind in implementing it will find it really difficult to

survive in the market. Businesses leaders and IT heads of companies should realize that in the world of cut-throat competition, it is a must to keep all their employees, vendors and business associates in the loop. They need to harness the potential of visual conversation to overcome the day-to-day decision making challenges.
