Session II: Communicating with Edmodo Connecting with Educators Communicating with Parents Communicating with Students

Communicating with Parents Only Parents can join by using their parent code will be associated with your group. These parents can be ed by clicking their name.

Feedback to Students Provide immediate feedback to student on submitted assignments Grade Students work immediately

Session III: Creating Content Postings Assignments Quizzes Polls

Activity # 5 During Activity #1, you created a posting as student. Follow the instructions on p. 5 of your instruction manual and reply to the posting as a teacher.

Creating Content: Assignments Selecting Assignment will cause the textboxes for “title, description and due date to appear. Use this textbox to provide students with directions or actual questions to answer Enter the date that you desire the assignment to be submitted

Creating Content: Quiz Select from Different question types. Type question here Multiple choice questions allow for multiple responses

Creating Content: Polls Polls allow for quick checks for understanding. They are also anonymous.

Creating Content: Polls (Results) Results display percentage of students who selected each response.

Activity #6 Directions: Create an assignment entitled “Warm Up.” Then, create a (4) question quiz with each type of question (multiple choice, short answer, true false and fill in the blank). Finally Create a Poll with at least (4) response options. Use the Activity #6 self assessment rubric to evaluate your content.

Session IV: Uploading Content Videos Presentations Files Links

Uploading Content: Videos, Presentation and Files First, click file. Videos, presentations or document files are upload the same. Choose the file you would like to upload.

Uploading Content: Links After selecting Link, copy the link in the designated textbox.

Activity #7 Directions: During our last professional development, we created videos using voice thread. Create an assignment in Edmodo. Include a link to the video you created during our last professional development. In that same assignment upload a document file and a presentation.
