4 * Log in * Click COURSES * Click JOIN * Enter the Access Code

5 * Create a Course * Create a Course Resource Folder * Link to a Cloud Service * Create Unit Folders * Add Materials

6 * Click COURSES * Click CREATE * Course Name (e.g. “English IV”) * Course Section (section, period, etc) * Subject Area (e.g. “Language Arts”) * Subject Level (e.g. “12”)

7 * Click RESOURCES * Click PERSONAL * Click ADD RESOURCES * Click ADD FOLDER * Create a course folder (name, color, description)

8 * Creating a course folder in the Resources section allows you to: * Organize course materials * Save course materials from year to year * Quickly share course materials between courses * Materials can be saved to the Resources folder from the course page. * Search public resources for additional course content

9 * Click RESOURCES * Click APPS * Click INSTALL APPS * Choose the Apps you wish to link to your Schoology account to * Easily move course documents into course folders

10 * Open the Course Folder in the Resources section * Click ADD RESOURCES * Create Unit folders (e.g. “Unit 1,” “Chapter 1,” “Cell Structure,” etc.) * Place unit materials in individual unit folders * Makes course structure clear to students * Makes organizing materials easy * When moved to course page, you can edit * File color * Start & End Date * Availability

11 * Assignments * Test & Quizzes * Files & Links * Discussions * Pages * Media Albums * Advanced Features Easily add materials to unit folders. Select the Materials tab inside the unit folder and choose content type.

12 * Doesn’t take the place of GradeConnect * Can still be helpful * Allows you to use all grading options on Schoology * Under Course Options, select Gradebook * Select Grade Setup * Create categories and grading periods

19 * Student Completion: Guide students through assignments by requiring that they complete them in order or get a certain score. * External Tools: You can integrate other web- based services (often subscription based) into your Schoology course page, which makes using those tools seamless. * Packages: Add your personal web content within your Schoology page
