Apple is considered one of the most profitable company’s in the world. What does their high market cap mean in regards to that?

Language Focus minutes #1: jump / jumping = in the dialogue, it is used in two different ways, once as a noun and once as a verb. To jump – to rise or increase suddenly and/or quickly, as in amount, price, etc. A jump – a sudden or quick increase or rise Examples: The jump in corn prices is already affecting the costs of food. Costs jumped again this quarter.

Language Focus #2: phenomenal = highly extraordinary, exceptional Examples: I can make phenomenal pancakes for our breakfast in the morning. The demand for business education has certainly grown at a phenomenal rate. #3: passing = In the dialogue, this is used as a noun. However, it can also be a verb. To pass (away) = to die Note: the “away” part of the verb is optional and means the same with or without it. Passing = death

The use of “let alone” can be quite confusing, even for native English speakers! Remember that in a sentence with "let alone," you give the lesser (smaller) example of something first, followed by "let alone" and then the greater (bigger) example. Where is the example of today’s grammar rule in the dialogue? Explain how this sentence follows today’s rule. There are several examples given in the grammar tab. Ask for 3 more examples using this rule.

Encourage the student on where he/she did well; give feedback to where he/she needs to pay more attention. * Assign homework, i.e. the ‘Exercise’ part of today’s lesson. Student should complete it and submit it online.
